Maths Adventure

A maths game for primary-school children that I'm building from scratch. The child plays through a story where AI writes the scenes and characters, while the maths itself is handled separately and precisely, so the questions are always right. Aligned to the White Rose curriculum.

Maths Adventure is something I'm building: a maths game for primary-school children, aligned to the White Rose curriculum. A child plays through a story adventure, and the parts that need to be creative and the parts that need to be correct are kept apart on purpose.

The AI runs the story. It writes the scenes, offers choices, picks the theme, and turns a wrong answer into friendly, in-character words. What it never does is the maths. Every question is plain data, and each type of question is marked by its own small, exact function. So the story can be as imaginative as it likes, while the maths is always right. That split is the whole idea.

It is built to teach, not to catch children out. Wrong answers get a hint and another go, there are no bad endings, and the things a child gets wrong are remembered, so similar questions come round again later. The first version focuses on Year 3 fractions.

Like Community Bookshelf, this is me taking an idea to a working product on my own, with AI doing a lot of the building. It is the same thing I help others with: getting a real first version into people's hands, without a big team.
